AWAS has now done several tastings deep inside the Vancouver Wine Vault. We are very pleased to return to the VWV for a tasting of wines that are Cool, New and Cutting Edge from various regions of Australia.

There has been an evolution in Australia’s wine regions over the past few years.  A new wave of winemakers is influencing the industry and its established wineries in a very positive way.

We are seeing more and more single vineyard wines on the market.  Forward-thinking producers are now experimenting with varietals better suited to hot, dry conditions, and they are also planting in other cooler regions that have not been traditionally chosen for vineyards. There is also a growing movement towards winemaking in a more “natural” style.

Your Cellarmaster has assembled an interesting line up of wines to highlight these exciting trends currently happening in Australia.  We will also have Cheese and Charcuterie available to accompany these excellent wines.

Please note the slightly earlier start time - we want to allow you the opportunity to plan dinner afterwards if you wish at one of the many excellent spots close by in Yaletown.  What a great way to start the holiday season!
